30 Aug THERE IS A CLOUD
I woke up this morning to this photo posted by Von Ahlene on Facebook. I immediately contacted him to get permission to use this photo and share it with you. It took my breath away – the colors, the view, the image captured just for you and me. Thank you Von!
As I pondered in my heart focusing on the rain cloud, I took the time to really view this photo with my eyes and heart, I got the following revelations:
- There were trees clapping their hands – representing JOY
- Growth of the trees were rooted on rocky ground – representing highs and lows in our lives
- The beautiful sun lighting the landscape – representing God’s light is always illuminating our paths
- There were storms clouds – representing past and future storms we all have experienced
- The valley appeared peaceful and filled with God’s presence – representing rest in our journeys
- There are mountain ranges throughout – representing our lives as we climb every mountain with highs and lows
- I could feel God’s breath and see His light – representing we are never alone
- God is pouring down rain in one section of the photo – representing cleansing and hope in those things that matter to us
Isaiah 55 reads, The Compassion of the Lord:
1) Come, thirst….. 3) Incline your ear and come to Me that your soul may live…. 10) For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater, so shall My word be that goes out of My mouth….12) for you shall go out in joy, and be led forth in peace; the mountains and the hills before you shall break forth into singing, and all the trees of the field shall clap their hands (all of this paraphrased to highlight points in scripture using ESV version)
Then As I watched Elevation worship on YouTube this morning, this is one of the songs they sang: THERE IS A CLOUD; Steven Furtick, Chris Brown, Mack Brock (CCLI 7067563), below are the lyrics:
Verse 1: Hear the word roaring as thunder with a new future to tell. For the dry season is over, there is a cloud beginning to swell. Verse 2: To the skies heavy with blessing, lift your eyes, offer your heart, Jesus Christ opened the heavens. Now we receive the Spirit of God
Chorus: We receive your rain, We receive your rain
Verse 3: Every seed buried in sorrow, You will call forth in its time. You are Lord, Lord of the harvest, calling our hope to arise
Chorus: We receive your rain, We receive your rain
Bridge: Like a flood, like a flood, we receive your love when You come (6x)
Verse 4: And with great anticipation, we await the promise to come. Everything that You have spoken, will come to pass, let it be done
Chorus (2x)
BE BLESSED TODAY AND EVERYDAY AS YOU SEEK GOD’S TRUTH IN YOUR OWN LIFE!
