A Tangled Mess

A TANGLED MESS

The moment I saw this photo, I was moved with hope. I thought to myself, “this is so ugly and twisted but full of life that never gave up”. The picture shows color changes from bottom up, as if it were under water at some time. The roots turn and twist sideways as well as upward! It’s growing and reaching for the sun.

What someone might say, “this is dead, cut it down!” I say, “grow baby, keep reaching upward, search for the sun, your roots are deep and lacking nothing.” As my eyes moved looking towards the top, I noticed the leaves were green and flourishing. Personally I love plants! I actualIy have 35 inside plants of all sizes and shapes. I’ve learned over time that when they really grow is when their roots are bound. Its a good thing!

So if you feel that maybe your life, your generational roots or even choices you’ve made in the past might have kept you bound or stuck, know that you don’t always see what is happening at the deeper level. Keep looking up, reach for the sun, and trust that God will turn all the twists and turns into His purpose so that you will flourish for those to wonder or ask, “Where do you get your passion for life?”

Jeremiah 17:8, “They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.” NIV

Yes He does! Usually we don’t see all the underworkings to get us where we are but God is at work, no matter what we know!
