Love, Love, Love

It’s been an exciting life with my precious husband, Wayne. We’ve been married for 33 years and even through the good, bad, and the ugly, our love has grown deeper and deeper. Knowing what true love really is has been tricky. We both came from different childhoods and completely different grids as to how love is communicated. It’s been a learning curve with lots of trials and errors. Our heart motive was to always love, we just didn’t really have healthy skills.

BUT GOD….Letting God love us first and foremost! Letting Him show us what true love is and then choosing to not only give but receive love His way. It’s been a journey and adventure for sure! But I can truly say I love Wayne more and more every day. God has done a miracle in our marriage and He can do it in yours. JUST NEVER GIVE UP UNTIL THE MIRACLE HAPPENS!

1 Corinthians 13:4 has been our plumbline: “Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way. It is not irritable and it keeps no record of being wroged. It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out. Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful and endures through every circumstance.” (NLT)
